About

...Me

Hi, welcome to my website, chic36. My name is Rina. I'm handling everything on this site, designing and managing the site, crafting and sewing purses, etc. I live in Osaka, the middle part of Japan. Yes, I'm truly Japanese. Maybe you can see it from my funny English. If you find something wrong with my English or my website, feel free to tell me. I'm neither an expert of English, nor a website master. But I'm trying to be both of them! I spent one year in Boulder, Colorado to study English and business as an exchange student, and just got back to Japan this summer. I've just graduated from college on march, 2007. I love crafting, designing, cooking, playing sports, reading, watching movies, and shopping!

I hope you enjoy this site and hope I can make friends with a lot of people!

...chic36

Chic36 was created on september 1, 2006, by a little Japanese girl, Rina. It features original handmade handbags, purses, and kimono crafts. I usually try to use recycled materials like recycled clothes, vintage fabrics, vintage kimono, etc. because I believe I can make more original and unique items by reconstructing these old precious stuff, in addition to using recycled stuff is kind to our environment.

I have so many things which I wanna try through chic36. Now there're only girly stuff here though, I'm really interested in designing men's clothes and accessories. I'd like to introduce some real Japanese fashion style(I mean "real" not as like the style of Tokyo fashion collection or something just for celeb, but as the style in which WE really are dressed in daily life) into the world through chic36 not only by producing faburous stuff, but also by taking street photos of Japanese people, or writing something like column about Japanese fashion.
